SMG Finance — Privacy Policy
What it accesses: for QuickBooks Online companies owned by the SMG group, the accounting records an administrator authorizes: the chart of accounts, lists such as items and classes, reports such as the trial balance, and transactions. It also stores the authorization tokens Intuit issues.
How it’s used: only for SMG’s own bookkeeping, month-end close, reconciliation and financial reporting.
Where it’s kept: on systems SMG controls, which means authorized staff computers and SMG’s cloud hosting account. Tokens are encrypted at rest, and access is limited to authorized SMG staff.
Sharing: SMG doesn’t sell or share this data. It isn’t disclosed to anyone except SMG’s own accountants and advisors, or where the law requires it.
Retention and removal: data is kept as long as SMG’s financial record-keeping needs it. Disconnecting a company stops all further access. To ask about data or have it deleted, contact support@scratch.com.
