This 5-day course is the next step for DJ 101 students interested in learning more about mixing and club DJ’ing. The goal of the course is to get students comfortable with mixing and the creation of a 6-record club set/mix tape. This course is ideal for DJ 101 students who want to work on their mixing skills and start to prepare real sets for a club or party.

Course Specifics:

Prerequisites/Skill Requirements		DJ 101 or basic mixing ability
Equipment Requirements		None (all equipment and records provided)
Class Size		16 students (1 student per turntable set up)
Course Length		5 Classes (85-minute class meets daily for one week)
Practice Times		Free. Mon-Thurs 10am-8pm, Fri 10am-7pm, Sun 3-8pm

• Review of basic DJ 101 concepts
• Intermediate mixing
• Phrasing and music theory
• Creation of a 6 record club set/mixtape
• Mixing different genres
• Mixing Tricks

Private Lessons
If you need to cancel or reschedule your lesson please notify Scratch more than 24 hours in advance to avoid fees. A $25 cancellation fee will be charged, if notification is not made in time. There are no refunds for Private Lessons. To reschedule or cancel your lesson, please call 212-529-1599 ext 300.

Course Cancellation
All course cancellations are subject to a $50 processing fee. Cancellations made after the course begins are subject to a $50 processing fee, plus a pro-rated amount for each class attended. In the event that Scratch DJ Academy cancels a course, the students’ payment will be credited towards the same course offered at a different time. To reschedule or cancel your lesson, please call 212-529-1599 ext 300.

Summer Session Cancellation
All Summer Session cancellations are subject to a $50 processing fee. Any Summer Session cancellations made by Scratch DJ Academy, AFTER students have paid in full will be credited to student in form of Private Lessons equivalent to the number of hours of the course. To reschedule or cancel your lesson, please call 212-529-1599 ext 300.

If you can’t make it to this course, check out future DJ 151 terms at Scratch. New terms start about every 8 weeks. Also check out Scratch DJ Academy Summer Sessions. During Summer Sessions, all DJ 151 course material is covered during an intensive 5-day sessions in July.
