This 6-week course is designed for the person who has already taken BM 101 or has prior knowledge of Ableton Live and Reason and wants to take his/her beat making skills to a higher level. The BM Advanced Workshop will feature a much more in depth look into the Ableton 6.0 and Reason 3.0 programs. The course itself will cover advanced sample editing, advanced audio and MIDI effects routing, advanced mixing and automation techniques, advanced song arrangement editing, the multi-tracking and mixing capabilities of using Reason through Ableton Live, and more. Each student will leave the course with 1-2 advanced beats fully utilizing the Reason and Ableton Live programs. Students will spend the majority of the time receiving hands on training as well as reviewing beats and projects as a group. Each workstation is equipped with a laptop, midi keyboard, and the Reason 3.0 and Ableton Live 6.0 software. Instruction will be available on both PC's and Mac's.

Course Specifics:

Prerequisites/Skill Requirements		BM 101 and/or prior knowledge of Ableton Live and Reason
Equipment Requirements		None. Laptops provided (both PC and Mac). Ableton Live 6.0 and Reason 3.0 software will be provided.
Class Size		8 students (1 student per workstation)
Course Length		6 Classes (70-minute class meets once a week)
Make Up Classes		Yes. Meets 30 minutes before each class to review previous lesson.
Practice Times		Free. Mon-Thurs 10am-8pm, Fri 10am-6pm, Sun 1-5:30pm

Private Lessons
If you need to cancel or reschedule your lesson please notify Scratch more than 24 hours in advance to avoid fees. A $25 cancellation fee will be charged, if notification is not made in time. There are no refunds for Private Lessons. To reschedule or cancel your lesson, please call 212-529-1599 ext 300.

Course Cancellation
All course cancellations are subject to a $50 processing fee. Cancellations made after the course begins are subject to a $50 processing fee, plus a pro-rated amount for each class attended. In the event that Scratch DJ Academy cancels a course, the students’ payment will be credited towards the same course offered at a different time. To reschedule or cancel your lesson, please call 212-529-1599 ext 300.

Summer Session Cancellation
All Summer Session cancellations are subject to a $50 processing fee. Any Summer Session cancellations made by Scratch DJ Academy, AFTER students have paid in full will be credited to student in form of Private Lessons equivalent to the number of hours of the course. To reschedule or cancel your lesson, please call 212-529-1599 ext 300.
