This 3-day course is for students who have a firm grasp of the DJ basics and are interested in learning more about mixing and club DJ’ing. The goal of the course is to get students comfortable with mixing and have them create a 6 record club set/mixtape. This course is ideal for DJ 101 students who want to work on their mixing skills and start to prepare real sets for a club or party.

Course Specifics:

Prerequisites/Skill Requirements		DJ 101 or basic mixing ability
Equipment Requirements		None (all equipment and records provided)
Class Size		16 students (1 student per turntable set up)
Course Length		3 Classes (140-minute class meets for 3 days)
Practice Times		Free. Mon-Thurs 10am-8pm, Fri 10am-7pm, Sun 3-8pm

• Review of basic DJ 101 concepts
• Intermediate mixing
• Phrasing and music theory
• Creation of a 6 record club set/mixtape
• Mixing different genres
• Mixing Tricks
