Today, everyone loves music and wants to be a DJ. What better way to celebrate your birthday than learning to be a real DJ? Birthday parties at Scratch are an entertaining and educational experience for any music-lover or DJ-enthusiast.

Scratch designs each birthday party experience with each individual client in mind. Whether you are a professional looking to kick back after work or on the weekends or a youngster in grade school hoping for a more traditional birthday party with cake, presents and all the fixings, Scratch will make sure you have a great time learning to rock the 1’s and 2’s.

The basic Birthday Party experience consists of a 1 hour DJ course (taught by one of our own celebrity DJ’s) followed by a 1-hour after-party with live DJ entertainment. During the after-party, participants can eat, blow out the candles on a cake, open presents, dance, and/or practice their DJ skills on our turntables.

Food and beverage services and catering options are available upon request.

Other fun, optional features include:

•   Submit Your Own Music
For no additional fee, the birthday boy or girl can submit a list of songs to be played throughout the lesson and during the after party. We want you to have fun at your party, so we want to know what type of music you want to hear! All types of music are acceptable: rock, hip-hop, pop, house, 80’s, etc.

•   Scratch and Burn
Since the kids have learned how to DJ, they can now put these skills to use. Our DJ’s will help each child record his/her skills on a CD that they can bring home after the party.

•   Break-dancing and/or Beat-boxing Lessons
For the ultimate birthday experience at Scratch, we can teach you how to break-dance and beat-box! Scratch will bring in additional instructors skilled in break-dancing and beat-boxing who will teach you the skills to these art forms.

•   Record Spin Art
Create a piece of art with a record! Scratch can set up a booth where partygoers can paint designs on an LP. Each participant will be able to pick up his/her record after the party and take it home.

•   Other Special Activities
Scratch has provided space in the past for face painters, airbrush artists, and more. If you would like to provide any additional activities, let us know. We have plenty of space and are very flexible!
