DJ Tim Martell Mixing Technique: Chasing

DJ Tim Martell has been rocking the NYC club scene since he was a teenager (at the age of 19, he held the main floor residency at legendary Limelight). In addition to his NYC residenceis, Tim has also spun alongside Louie Vega, Prince Paul and DJ Spinna. He's a staple at Tribeca Cinema events, has traveled the country on the AND1 Mixtape Tour, performed at the Winter X-Games and opened for acts like Slick Rick and Public Enemey. Scratch DJ Academy is offering an opportunity to intern for DJ Z-Trip at his home studio. All applicants must be knowledgeable with music production hardware and be Pro-Tools proficient. Sound technician skills are not required but are a plus. Z-Trip is looking for a responsible, hard-working, and timely intern, so serious applicants only. Philly DJ Day

On 9/26, Scratch is heading out to Philadelphia for Philly DJ Day. Rob Swift (world famous turntablist from the X-Men, X-Ecutioners, and Ill Insanity and instructor at Scratch DJ Academy) is coming with us to help spread awareness about the art of DJing and showcase his skills. Philly DJ Day seeks to bring DJs of all nationalities, ethnicities, and ages together. It represents DJs of all genres (from hip-hop to house to techno and more) and gives guests the opportunity to interact, ask questions, and learn about DJ culture.
