If you asked Sabo, he’d classify his DJing as a seamless mix of “funky music to make you feel good”. His sets are always designed to make the dance floor shake and incorporate everything from Brazilian to Afrobeat, Disco to Reggae, Hip Hop to Dub, Miami Bass to House, Latin to Techno, and beyond. With over ten years of experience, Sabo has been churning out his infectious upbeat sounds all over the US and even at international venues in Brazil, Spain, Austria, Kosovo, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, and Mexico.
For over five years, he’s been a frequent guest DJ with Turntables on the Hudson (alongside Nickodemus and Zeb). Sabo has also spun regularly at the Guggenheim and the famous PS1 party with the MoMA. He’s opened for bands like the Brazilian Girls, Yerba Buena, Antibalas, the Pimps of Joytime, and Si*Se. Additionally, he’s remixed tracks for Nickodemus, the Kokolo Afrobeat Orchestra, Los Monos, Pacha Massive Sound System, and the Balkan Beat Box.
Sabo even runs his own record label, Sol Selectas, through which he has released numerous EPs. He also has two releases on Wonderwheel Recordings and has been a featured DJ on XLR8R.com.
