Under the tutelage of King Britt, Cosmo conquered the Philadelphia nightlife scene by the time he was 21. He developed a style of mixing different genres seamlessly to create a “bigger picture” and sees each DJ set as a movement–much like a piece of classical music –that takes the listener on a journey from point A to point B. With his “everything but the kitchen sink” philosophy leading the way, he (along with Philly contemporaries Rich Medina & ?uestlove–with whom he shared now legendary residencies) influenced a whole school of Philadelphia DJs in the early 2000s.
Looking to take his game to the next level, Cosmo relocated to Brooklyn, NY, and helped launch a successful musical movement, The Rub (along with DJ Eleven and Ayers). The Rub is one of the world’s most sought after crew of DJs, always pushing their boundaries in each performance.
Cosmo has spun in clubs in New York, Los Angeles, London, Paris, Barcelona, Cancun, Toronto, Vancouver, Tel Aviv, and Bangkok. He’s performed with artists like Jay-Z, N*E*R*D, Santogold, MSTRKRFT, Common, Redman, Talib Kweli, & MGMT. He’s also shared the stage with other DJ greats like Prince Paul, Premier, A-Track, AM, and Mark Ronson.
